GirlsLEAD Summit 2018
We look forward to you joining us for the GirlsLEAD Summit in Washington, DC on March 9, 2018 at the University of the District of Columbia!
Hosted by the Young Women’s Advisory Council of the Young Women’s Initiative at the Washington Area Women’s Foundation, the Summit will be an opportunity for girls between the ages of 12-24 residing in the District of Columbia to learn, connect, gain valuable skills and lift their voices on the issues that are important to them and impact their communities and neighborhoods.
At the Summit, girls will have the opportunity to hear from trailblazing leaders like Elaine Welteroth, former Editor-in-Chief of Teen Vogue, who will open the summit and many other young people that are doing extraordinary things to make change and a difference across the country.

The summit is free and open to all young women and girls of color, transgender girls and gender non-conforming youth in the City. Chaperones and adult mentors can attend the conference at no cost.
How to register for the GirlsLEAD Summit 2018:
To attend the Summit, you must be nominated. Space is limited. You can either nominate yourself (always a good thing) or an adult in your life can nominate you.
