Hosted by the Young Women’s Advisory Council of the Young Women’s Initiative at the Washington Area Women’s Foundation, the Summit will be an opportunity for girls between the ages of 12-24 residing in the District of Columbia to learn, connect, gain valuable skills and lift their voices on the issues that are important to them and impact their communities and neighborhoods.

At the Summit, girls will have the opportunity to hear from trailblazing leaders like Elaine Welteroth, Award-winning journalist, Media Personality & Former Editor-in-Chief of Teen Vogue who will open the summit and many other young people that are doing extraordinary things to make change and a difference across the country.

Cost to Attend: The summit is free and open to all young women and girls of color, transgender girls and gender non-conforming youth in the City. Chaperones and adult mentors can attend the conference at no cost.

The fee for practitioners to attend the conference is $75.00. The registration fee includes access to practitioner only workshops led by field leaders. The fee also includes meals.
